I purchased my Vortex Fisher 5 Spa hot tub and had it delivered on September 2025. Professional service from Ty and his team from the moment I walked in the store. My family and I use it regularly with no issues to date. It’s a great way to cure the winter blues. I would definitely recommend purchasing a spa from this location.

When I first walked in to Backyard Pool and Spa and met Al I knew this was the place we were going to buy our hot tub after visiting many competitors and spa shows. We purchased an American Whirlpool 471 which has a lounger. My wife insisted on this model and I am so glad she did. It also has two seats with a great neck massage. Install was seamless. When I told Al we lived in Brampton and asked if it was too far to service us and he said not at all. Al and his team are great people to deal with. We look forward to many years of use in our hot tub.

We had a very positive experience from the moment we walked into Backyard Pool and Spa in August. Al was super knowledgeable about the swim spas we were interested in and we were sold right after leaving the store. We purchased the Riverspace 15. It has 2 loungers and benches to accommodate people. Plus I like with this swim spa you can set the jets to what each person wants while other swim spas companies don’t have that feature. And of course the best part is that this is all season usage. After visiting other swim spa companies prior to Backyard Pool we felt the most confident here and the price was most realistic and affordable for our needs. The process of how everything would move forward was thoroughly explained step by step- the hardest part was waiting for the spa to arrive! On delivery day everything went smooth from the crane operator being super fantastic to Al and Ty organizing everything despite the rain that day. As newbies to the swim spa world the videos and email communication went smooth with Al and Ty. We are enjoying our swim spa esp on these cold winter nights and when our kids are happy we know we made the right purchase with our swim spa and choosing Backyard Pool and Spa for all our needs. I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in hot tubs or swim spas.

We purchased a Vortex Aqualounge last year via internet and phone. Our experience with the sales team was fantastic and were able to make monthly payments through the winter until we picked it up in the spring. The team at Backyard Pool and Spa were fantastic once again for a full demonstration and to load the Spa for transporting it as we live too far for delivery. After installation, we have used it almost every day, and love it. The team at backyard have been excellent to work with for any questions or concerns we have had.

We had dealt with a specific pool company for the last six years that never fulfilled their promises. When we decided to look for a new company, we were recommended Backyard Pool and Spa. We have worked with them on two projects this summer, and we look forward to working with them for all our future pool and hot tub needs. Our service tech we’ve had out - Eugene - absolutely wonderful man. He’s knowledgeable, personable and so much fun to work with. On the sales end, Ty has been an absolute delight to work with. He’s helpful, honest and also has a great personality. My husband and I would recommend Backyard Pools and Spa to anyone looking for a reliable pool and hot tub company.

Before you hire a hot tub installer in Ontario

Hot tub sales and placement are unregulated, but the electrical connection is not. It requires a licensed electrical contractor and an ESA inspection.

Licensed electrical contractor with an ECRA/ESA number

A hot tub needs a dedicated GFCI-protected 240V circuit and, in most cases, a disconnect within sight of the tub. This is not work for a handyman.

Verify with: The Electrical Safety Authority, esasafe.com.

ESA notification and Certificate of Acceptance

Filed by the electrical contractor and inspected. Keep the certificate - insurers and buyers ask for it.

Adequate base or engineered deck support

A filled hot tub with occupants is a serious point load. Placing one on an ordinary residential deck without verifying capacity is a real structural risk, and decks have failed under them.

General liability insurance for delivery and placement

Crane placement over a house is a moment where insurance stops being theoretical.

Questions worth asking

  • What is the filled weight, and is my intended base or deck rated for it?
  • Which licensed electrical contractor will do the connection, and is the ESA notification included?
  • Will I get the Certificate of Acceptance when it passes inspection?
  • Can the tub physically reach the location, or is a crane required - and is that in the price?
  • What is the insulation construction, and what is the realistic monthly running cost in winter?
