I can’t say enough about Sam and his crew. From the moment I walked in the store , Sam was very friendly and professional. The 2 guys who came to put my new carpet down were very meticulous and it looks absolutely beautiful. Thank you for everything. Looking forward to the next tile project

Great installers, did a good job... but they did say if there are any issues with the molding they installed, they would fix it. Because they knew it didn't match. When I went to purchase flooring, I was told "toe molding will match the floor" Oak does not match a brown floor And still no response about the issue

Great experience at Floor4Good, I just finish replacing the entire floor at my house from carpet to Luxury Vinyl. The process was very smooth and satisfying, starting with Sam at the store to pick up the color and style, then meeting at my house for measurement, then the great team who came and installed the new flooring. The team was very professional , on time and great price, and the outcome was gorgeous. I highly recommend Floor4Good, best in town.

Owner Sam was awesome to work with. He was honest, trustworthy, and had great deal of knowledge of products sold. He worked with me with pricing and was very fair and reasonable. Installation crew ( Ed and Moh) did a beautiful job. Punctual and attentive to detail, at the end of each day everything was cleaned up and ready for the next day. Both guys were so nice and accommodating to every need. I would not hesitate to recommend and use their service again.

What first impressed me about Sam and his team at Floor 4 Good was their excellent customer service. After much frustration of working with other flooring distributors in the area who took days to calculate a simple quote, and even having one berate me for asking for adjustments to the quote when their price seemed way too high, Floor 4 Good was a breath of fresh air! Within less than an hour of calling, Sam came to my property to take measurements! He brought samples to me based on what he knew I was looking for and even had the technology ready to actually show me what the floor would look like from a picture he took of the living space. That helped SO much in trying to envision the final look! Then, unlike the competition, he provided me a quote within minutes! And his quote, which included MUCH better flooring than the competition, was almost 15% lower than the large floor distributor in our area. With this level of customer service, I was sold. I figured that if he paid this much attention to customer satisfaction and efficiency with the quoting process, he would do the same for the installation, too. And I was right! When an issue arose due to a supplier neglecting to deliver the flooring I had ordered, Sam offered me better carpeting, that would have cost double what I paid, without increasing the cost. Even though it was not his fault, he maintained the excellent customer-focus I saw when he first came to take measurements. He was even flexible enough to work with my remodel schedule by breaking the installation into two parts because I needed to wait on the kitchen cabinets to be installed. The job was completed on-time, under budget and with a much better quality flooring than the competition offered! I highly recommend Sam and his team for any flooring project! Spare yourself the time and frustration of dealing other flooring places and call Floor 4 Good first! You'll be glad you did!
Before you hire a flooring installer in Ontario
No provincial licence required. Manufacturer installation requirements are the real standard, because they govern your warranty.
General liability insurance and WSIB clearance
Standard checks.
Manufacturer installation compliance
Most flooring warranties specify subfloor flatness, moisture content and acclimation. Departing from them voids coverage, and the manufacturer will ask for evidence if you claim.
Moisture testing for concrete subfloors
Basements and slab-on-grade need a moisture test before wood or glue-down vinyl goes on. Skipping it is the most common cause of catastrophic basement floor failure.
Asbestos assessment for pre-1990 flooring
Old vinyl tile and its adhesive can contain asbestos. It must not be sanded or dry-scraped without assessment.
Questions worth asking
- Is subfloor preparation included, and what happens if the floor turns out to be uneven?
- Is removal and disposal of the existing flooring in this price?
- How long will the material acclimate on site before installation?
- For basements or concrete: will you moisture-test the slab first?
- Are transitions, baseboard, quarter round and stair nosing included?
