I had a really great experience with 2B Wired. I first contacted them for a quote to inspect an under-cabinet kitchen light and replace a CO/smoke detector. Brandon got in touch with me the next day and guided me through my options. He was very knowledgeable and I decided to replace the light with a modern version. The same day after finalizing the work to be done, Brandon had purchased the new light and detector, and the service call was completed soon after. He also ensured that everything would be completed in one service call. I was really impressed by the thoughtfulness and professionalism shown, as well as how quickly the service call was completed. Thank you Brandon and 2B Wired!

Prompt and responsive and able to provide same-day Sunday service for my electrical emergency (smelling "burned" smell from circuit breaker). Quickly diagnosed and resolved the problem--even grabbed the required parts from the store!

2B Wired was great from the very beginning. Very professional service and clear communication throughout the process. Michal did an excellent job — efficient, detail-oriented, and clearly experienced. They even helped paint our fixture as part of a custom setup and offered solid advice along the way. You can really tell they have a strong dedication to customer service. I would absolutely hire them again and recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality electrical work.

We were about to book a service call for what we thought was an electrical issue with our dishwasher. Before coming out, 2 B Wired took the time to explain a few things to check first and let us know that if nothing else had changed, it was likely the appliance itself. Turns out that’s exactly what it was. We replaced the dishwasher and everything worked perfectly. Really appreciated the honesty and not being pushed into an unnecessary service call. That kind of integrity is rare.

Best electricians in town. The communication was great between myself and 2B Wired. They assessed before they made any recommendations to ensure that they found the main root cause of the issue before doing any work. They were very quick and made sure that the work was good quality and even followed up to make sure that everything was okay. Highly recommend!
Before you hire an electrician in Ontario
Yes, twice over. The person needs a 309A Certificate of Qualification; the business needs an ECRA/ESA Electrical Contractor Licence.
ECRA/ESA Electrical Contractor Licence
A seven-digit number that must appear on advertising, vehicles, quotes and invoices. If you cannot find it on the quote, ask - a licensed contractor is required to provide it.
Verify with: The Electrical Safety Authority publishes a contractor lookup at esasafe.com.
Check 2B Wired Toronto on the official registerCertificate of Qualification, 309A Electrician
Held by the individual. A licensed contractor employs certified electricians and apprentices; the apprentices work under supervision.
Verify with: Skilled Trades Ontario maintains the public register.
Check 2B Wired Toronto on the official registerESA notification (the permit) for the specific job
Most work beyond replacing a light fixture requires the contractor to file a notification with ESA and have the work inspected. You should receive a Certificate of Acceptance when it passes. Keep it. You will want it when you sell.
Verify with: ESA confirms whether a notification was filed for your address.
Check 2B Wired Toronto on the official registerGeneral liability insurance and WSIB clearance
Two million in liability is standard. Electrical fires are the reason this is not a box-ticking exercise.
Questions worth asking
- What is your ECRA/ESA licence number? (Then look it up before you sign anything.)
- Will you file the ESA notification, and is the fee included in this price?
- Will I receive the Certificate of Acceptance when the work passes inspection?
- Is my panel at capacity? If this job needs a service upgrade, I want to know now rather than halfway through.
- Who is physically doing the work - a certified electrician or an apprentice under supervision?
