I was looking for a contractor to help build an accent wall and shelving for my outdoor kitchen. I had a rough idea in mind, but I wanted an expert’s input to make it truly special. When I look for a contractor, there are a few things that are non-negotiable: promptness, responsiveness, and clear signs that they will see the job through to the end without letting it drag on. I have dealt with enough contractors in the past who disappear mid-project or take weeks to answer a simple question. From my very first interaction with Magic Trim Carpentry, I knew they were different. They responded quickly, came to see the space without delay, and answered every question promptly. These early signs proved accurate. They were professional, attentive, and focused from start to finish. The result speaks for itself. The accent wall has warm wood tones, clean vertical lines, and perfectly aligned shelving that frames my plants beautifully. The craftsmanship is flawless, and everything feels solid and intentional. This project was more complex than it appears because water lines run through the wood to automatically water the plants. Magic Dream Carpentry integrated them so cleanly that they are completely hidden in the finished piece. On top of the outstanding work, they are genuinely kind people. At lunchtime, they brought a traditional Iranian dish, Ghorme Sabzi, and insisted I join them. It was my first time trying it and it was delicious. That gesture said a lot about the type of people they are. Magic Dream Carpentry exceeded my expectations in every way. If you value promptness, professionalism, and meticulous craftsmanship, I highly recommend them.

I couldn’t be more thrilled with the work Magic Trim Carpentry did in my home! Majid custom-built stunning closet doors and a beautiful bedroom door that completely transformed the space. The craftsmanship is outstanding—every detail reflects precision, care, and true expertise. From the initial consultation with Majid to the final installation, the entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Majid listened to my ideas, offered helpful suggestions, and delivered something even better than I could have imagined. Majid was punctual, respectful of my home, and left everything spotless after the job was done. It’s rare to find a company that combines skill, style, and service so well. If you’re looking for high-quality custom woodwork and dependable professionals, I highly recommend Magic Trim Carpentry. I’ll definitely be calling them for future projects! Thank you Majid. You are one of a kind!

The contractor I originally hired for a basement bathroom reno was struggling to install a door in a tight space, low ceiling, and with a door frame adjacent to already installed shower glass. Majid was super responsive, scoped the job with hours of my inquiry, and finished the job with care and quality the next day. In addition to the bathroom door, he installed another narrow door to a storage room and made thoughtful recommendations on making the most of the small space with awkward pipes, flooring, outlet placements. He recommended moving an outlet and installed a magnetic push mechanism instead of a handle door—which worked beautifully. He even made use of the old butchered door that had to be replaced at no extra cost. He made a mini door to cover up a crawl space opening. A nice little touch he didn’t have to do. A true professional, responsive communicator, and master at his craft.

We had the pleasure of working with Majid, the carpenter, on creating the wet bar of our dreams in our basement, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. His process was incredibly detail-oriented, kind, and thoughtful from start to finish. Majid truly put in the effort upfront to ensure everything was designed to perfection. He took the time to involve us throughout the entire process, patiently working with us until we were fully satisfied. What stood out most was his dedication to getting every detail right, making sure we felt heard and valued as homeowners. Majid and his team have also been incredibly reliable. They always showed up when they said they would, and the project was completed on time. Their attention to detail extended to their scheduling and budgeting as well, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. One moment that really impressed us was when Majid noticed that the stain on a cabinet section hadn’t been done to his satisfaction. Without us asking, he took the initiative to bring the cabinet back to the stainer and made sure it was right, at no extra charge. That level of professionalism and care is something you don’t see every day, and we truly appreciated it. Thank you Majid!

Magic trim carpentry is one of the best carpenters i have ever seen. Majid and his team were able to build me an amazing little library for the front of my house. They were able to make it in a timely manner and even better than what i expected. They were very committed, even coming outside during the pouring rain to install the little library. I am so happy with how it turned out, and will continue to recommend Magic Trim Carpentry to anyone who's is looking for great and efficient service. I would give 10 stars if i could!

Questions worth asking
- Do you mainly do rough or finish carpentry? Can I see photos of work like mine?
- Is this quoted hourly or as a fixed price, and what is the estimate if hourly?
- Does this job need a permit, and are you pulling it?
- Who supplies materials, and is there a markup on them?
- For a deck: what footing depth, and how is it attached to the house?
