We’ve had this company in three times now, and they’ve been superb every single time. They’ve done an awesome job installing our pot lights and helping us with a wide range of other electrical work. Each visit has been stress-free, with clear communication and a professional, friendly approach. They respect the space and are great at providing ideas and alternative solutions. It’s been a relief knowing we can trust these electricians. We’d absolutely call them again and recommend them without hesitation.

We couldn’t be happier with the work Richard and George did. From start to finish, they were professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable. They installed pot lights and a pendant light with great care and precision, taking the time to explain everything clearly along the way. The work was done efficiently, and they left the space spotless when the job was finished. It’s clear they take real pride in their work, and the quality truly shows. Reliable, honest, and easy to work with — we would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch electrical service.

I cannot say enough good things about Milestone Electric. I’m visiting Toronto for the holidays and, like any mom, wanted to do a few thoughtful things around my son’s apartment — including installing a dimmer switch in his living room. What should have been a simple task turned into a wiring situation that had more wires than something that absolutely has too many wires. After what felt like 500 different combinations (and a brief moment of stubborn optimism), I finally accepted defeat and called an electrician. With Christmas Eve the next day, I honestly assumed I’d be out of luck — but Milestone Electric surprised me in the best way possible. They had an electrician in my area and he was at my door within an hour. The fix? Less than ten minutes. The gentleman who came was kind, professional, efficient, and calmly confident — exactly who you want when you’re staring at a wall full of mystery wires. He quite literally saved the day and my sanity. Now the only dilemma left is whether I tell my son that I had to call in backup for the install… undecided. 😉 If you need reliable, responsive, and genuinely excellent electrical service — even during the holidays — Milestone Electric is the one to call. Forever grateful and highly recommend.

Excellent quality work - efficient AND thorough. Knowledgeable and honest work. I called about some sketchy electrical splicing with raw wires twisted together by hand which I found after tearing out a wall. I was worried about fire hazard it looked so bad. Dave answered my call and gave me a sense of what level of work might be involved and was up front about the pricing and different approaches to assessing for knob and tube- informing me of the options so that I could make the decision that would be best for me. When the electrician Andrew arrived he involved me every step of the way - made sure that I was the one making the decisions about how the work was getting done, while making sure I was informed about the options and his own thinking so that we were on the same page and actually problem solving together. Andrew was very professional while also personable - he didn't ask me any awkward personal questions like many contractors tend to do (like how long have you lived here & what do you do for work) for some reason - and instead talked to me about renovations and genuinely treated me like an equal. Andrew arrived ON TIME and was conscientious: thoughtfully cleaned up after and took out his garbage, took off his shoes before coming in, and offered to wear a mask when he saw I was wearing one for health reasons. Efficient AND Thorough - Andrew was highly focused on the task at hand and went above and beyond with attention to details - labelling and bundling stray wires and making things look neat and flush, and making sure I was happy with the end result. Honest and Trustworthy - Andrew helped to de-bunk some common myths about electrical work instead of predating on my ignorance through fear-mongering. I will definitely be calling Dave & Andrew back for all of my future electrical needs.

If you want it done right, call Milestone Electrical. From the moment George walked through my door, he brought knowledge and clarity to what had become a complicated and stressful situation. He lifted the burden off my shoulders immediately, earning my trust and proving why his reputation as the go-to electrician is well deserved. Special mention and thank you to Adam as well, whose electrical workmanship was outstanding. I've worked with a lot of trades over the years and Milestone Electrical stands out among the best. Five stars, hands down.
Before you hire an electrician in Ontario
Yes, twice over. The person needs a 309A Certificate of Qualification; the business needs an ECRA/ESA Electrical Contractor Licence.
ECRA/ESA Electrical Contractor Licence
A seven-digit number that must appear on advertising, vehicles, quotes and invoices. If you cannot find it on the quote, ask - a licensed contractor is required to provide it.
Verify with: The Electrical Safety Authority publishes a contractor lookup at esasafe.com.

Check Milestone Electrical LTD. on the official registerESA notification (the permit) for the specific job
Most work beyond replacing a light fixture requires the contractor to file a notification with ESA and have the work inspected. You should receive a Certificate of Acceptance when it passes. Keep it. You will want it when you sell.

Questions worth asking
- What is your ECRA/ESA licence number? (Then look it up before you sign anything.)
- Will you file the ESA notification, and is the fee included in this price?
- Will I receive the Certificate of Acceptance when the work passes inspection?
- Is my panel at capacity? If this job needs a service upgrade, I want to know now rather than halfway through.
- Who is physically doing the work - a certified electrician or an apprentice under supervision?
