I recently purchased an exterior door From Centennial Windows and Doors . Paul Glover came out and gave me a quote and was very helpful and informative. My Door was installed by Matt and Jeremy and they did a terrific job . The door looks great and everything was cleaned up. Matt sent me pictures and answered any questions I had . I would recommend them to my friends Trish

We recently had a new back door and new storm door installed by Mat and Jeremy and the experience was quick easy clean and professional. They take their time, Take pride in their work And don’t hesitate to answer any questions. When we had a couple concerns, they addressed them and ensured that it would be taken care of, and it was. Highly recommend! Thanks for the great work!

We needed 11 new windows and did not know where to begin. Bill (Sales) at Centennial Windows proudly presented the company’s story and exceptional product and services and we are now the very proud owners of 11 beautiful and efficient windows. Our installers, Doug and Paco ,were professionals all the way and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Centennial Windows and Doors all day long. A Great experience !

Just got a beautiful new front door installed today. I just love it. Mat and Jeremy did a fantastic job. Despite the snowy weather they did a great job keeping the area clean. Very friendly and efficient team. We will Definitely recommend centennial windows and doors. Thanks again Mat and Jeremy.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Centennial Windows and Doors has been extremely disappointing, especially considering the amount of money I invested. When the salesman first came, I was very clear: I needed windows that I could open and clean easily from both sides, without having to hire a professional. I also explained that I had custom blinds that would need to be re-installed properly after the new windows went in. He assured me that wouldn’t be an issue. What followed was a frustrating process. More than five different people came through my home for measurements and installation — one would expect that someone would have noticed the blinds as a potential issue before the windows were made. The custom French doors even had to be redone because they didn’t fit properly the first time. Then, only a few days after installation, I discovered that the installers had actually screwed my blinds into the inside casing of the new windows, making it impossible to open them for cleaning, the exact feature I specifically requested. I called to complain, but it took over a month before someone came out. All they did was take photos — no repairs, no solutions. Weeks later, a supervisor finally called and told me that “these things happen” and that my blinds appeared to be custom made for those windows. Their conclusion? There’s nothing they can do. I just spent over $60,000 on windows and doors, only to be told I should “live with it.” That is completely unacceptable. For the cost, I expected not only quality products but also accountability and customer service. Unfortunately, I received neither. I cannot recommend Centennial Windows and Doors.
Before you hire a window and door installer in Ontario
No provincial licence is required. Installation quality is governed by manufacturer specification and the Ontario Building Code rather than by a trade certificate.
General liability insurance and WSIB clearance
Standard checks. Window installation involves ladder work and heavy glass.
Manufacturer-trained installer status
Matters more than usual here, because most window warranties are voided by installation that departs from the manufacturer specification.
Building permit for new or enlarged openings
Replacing a window in an existing opening generally does not need one. Cutting a new opening, or enlarging one for a basement egress window, generally does.
Verify with: Your municipal building department confirms what your specific job requires.
ENERGY STAR certification for the product
Relevant if you intend to claim any efficiency rebate, which typically requires certified products and documentation.
Questions worth asking
- Is this a retrofit or a full-frame installation? What would the other one cost?
- How is the gap between the window and the rough opening insulated and air-sealed?
- Is exterior capping included, and in what colour and material?
- Is the warranty on the glass seal, the frame, and the labour - and are they different lengths?
- Is the warranty transferable if I sell the house?
