Ken and his team did an excellent job helping us select and install our backyard pool. They were there for every step of the way and we couldn’t be happier with the process to install and the results. Highly recommend them for a worry free experience from start to finish.

We installed our Viking Carmel 14'x30' in 2014 and its still remains the centerpiece of our backyard. Elite Pools provided exceptional craftsmanship and a seamless experience from start to finish. Choosing a fiberglass pool was the right choice it's been very low maintenance and easy to own. We couldn't be happier we love it.

We had our fiberglass pool installed Toronto by Elite Pools several years ago, and it has been an excellent investment. The pool still looks great, functions perfectly, and has required very little maintenance. The installation process was professional from start to finish, and the team was knowledgeable and reliable. We would absolutely recommend Elite Pools to anyone considering a pool.

After talking to several companies, we settled on Ken and Elite Pools for our pool install. Ken was professional, up front and took the time to answer all of our questions and walk us through the process. The install itself was quick and efficient - a benefit of a fiberglass pool. And so far very easy to maintain! We had an idea of what we wanted and the end result exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier with the investment and look forward to enjoying our backyard oasis for years to come.

Elite pools did a fantastic job. Ken works in association with Cansoil(Rob Iachetta, landscaping). Everything went according to plan. Not a single issue. Would highly recommend them. I wasn’t aware of the guy who did the planning and permit from the city which was a minor hiccup.

Before you hire a pool builder in Ontario

Pool building itself is not a licensed trade, but the electrical work is, and the enclosure permit is mandatory.

Municipal pool enclosure permit

Required in essentially every Ontario municipality, usually before excavation begins. Bylaws specify fence height, gate self-closing and self-latching hardware, and how soon the enclosure must be in place. Enforcement is real and the liability if a child accesses an unfenced pool is severe.

ESA notification for pool electrical and bonding

Pool electrical must be installed by a licensed electrical contractor, and the metal structure must be bonded. This requires an ESA notification and inspection.

Legally required. Gas and hydro service lines cross yards at unpredictable depths.

Excavation near a house foundation carries real risk. Confirm coverage amounts.

Questions worth asking

What is the total installed cost including electrical, gas, decking, fencing and landscape restoration?
Who pulls the enclosure permit, and when must the fence be up relative to excavation?
Which licensed electrical contractor are you using, and will I receive the ESA Certificate of Acceptance?
What is the realistic installation window, and what happens if it slips past the season?
How is my deposit protected, and what is refundable if you cannot start?
