Top-rate guys. I had a serious rupture/blockage in one of my pipes, and they dealt with it speedily. The job required a lot more digging than was factored into the original estimate, but Josh did me a huge kindness and stuck to his quote. Honest, efficient, and professional.

I had such a great experience with Josh and Morrison Plumbing & Mechanical and couldn’t be more impressed. Josh handled everything over the phone and was incredibly kind, clear, and reassuring. You can tell he really wants to help people and make things easy during a stressful situation. His team arrived and were just as professional and friendly. They explained the issue and got everything fixed quickly. I’m so happy I found Josh and Morrison Plumbing & Mechanical!! I’d recommend them to anyone.

HORRIBLE! Constant harassment and scammers. I have informed my lawyer about their behaviour. In summary, one of their people came to my house to diagnose a problem but was UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE. He then proceeded to make suggestions about changing a few things that were UNRELATED TO THE ISSUE. We politely declined services being offered that were not related the issue. Few months later a contractor that was working on a project for me identified and fixed the issue I was having. These unethical crooks send me an email a month later that they will send me to collections with an invoice attached for ZERO SERVICES. I don’t care at all and I will initiate court proceedings against them for scamming people. STAY AWAY.

Joshua's communication was fast, friendly, and professional. I had my kitchen sink serviced by his team last month and everything went very smoothly. I was happy that I could book my service within just a few days of reaching out. I find the pricing to be very fair and on par with other plumbing companies out there. His team was very fast and was in/out under a few hours. Would love to recommend Morrison Plumbing & Mechanical if anyone asks!

I cannot recommend Morrison Plumbing highly enough! From start to finish, my experience with this company and its owner, Josh, was exceptional. Firstly, their professionalism was evident from the moment I contacted them. The staff was courteous and prompt in scheduling an appointment that suited my availability. Josh himself arrived right on time, equipped with all the necessary tools and expertise to tackle the plumbing issue I was facing. Furthermore, Josh's friendly demeanor and willingness to answer all my questions put me completely at ease. It's evident that he takes pride in his trade and values his clients. What sets Morrison Plumbing apart is their dedication to quality work. Josh assessed the situation, explained the problem clearly, and offered transparent pricing before beginning any work. Throughout the repair process, he demonstrated not only technical proficiency but also a genuine commitment to ensuring the job was done right the first time. Thanks to Josh and Morrison Plumbing, my plumbing issue was resolved quickly and easily. I wouldn't hesitate to call on them again for any future plumbing needs, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone in search of reliable, top-notch plumbing professionals.

Before you hire a plumber in Ontario

Yes. Plumber (306A) is a compulsory trade in Ontario - working without certification is illegal, not just inadvisable.

Certificate of Qualification, 306A Plumber

The individual doing the work must hold this, or be a registered apprentice working under someone who does. Ask for the certificate number and the name it is issued to. It belongs to a person, not a company.

Verify with: Skilled Trades Ontario maintains the public register of certified tradespeople.

General liability insurance

Two million dollars is the common floor for residential work. Water damage escalates fast, and a burst supply line during a renovation can exceed a small policy in an afternoon.

WSIB clearance

If a worker is injured on your property and the contractor has no coverage, you can be drawn into the claim. A clearance certificate is free for the contractor to pull and takes minutes.

Verify with: WSIB issues clearance certificates directly to the contractor on request.

TSSA gas technician certificate (only if gas is involved)

G1, G2 or G3 depending on scope. Required for anything connecting to a natural gas or propane line.

Verify with: The Technical Standards and Safety Authority regulates fuel safety in Ontario.

Questions worth asking

  • Is the person doing the work certified in 306A, or an apprentice being supervised? Both are fine. You just want to know.
  • Is this quote flat rate or time and materials? If hourly, what is the estimated range and what happens if it runs over?
  • Does the job touch a gas line, and if so who holds the TSSA certificate?
  • Does this need a municipal plumbing permit, and are you pulling it?
  • What is the warranty on labour, separately from the manufacturer warranty on parts?
