Sutcliffe Homes and Renovations

We hired Sutcliffe for a major renovation project in our home last summer - it involved taking down a weight bearing wall, put in supporting beams, moving windows around, adding an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet, and redesigning the mudroom. We never regretted it! They did an amazing job and they finished on time! These are some of the reasons we are highly recommending them: They gave us a very detailed quote and they sticked to it. Any additional costs were related to upgrades that we asked for, and it was very clear, and there were no surprises. Communication has been easy. Everyone involved was really respectful, responsive, and reliable. They were very well organized, scheduling of the different trades was well coordinated, and the worksite was neat and tidy at the end of every day. They offer exceptional customer service even after the project has been completed (for example there is a problem with the paint on our new front door, we just had to point it out and they took care of dealing with the door supplier right away). Was everything perfect all the time? Of course not! But they made it right every single time, without having to argue or send several emails. A big thank you to Lynsey, Alan, Kyle, Daryl, Guillaume and everyone else who was involved!

We hired Sutcliff homes and Sutcliff Kitchens to renovate our kitchen, mudroom and laundry room. We are extremely happy with the finished rooms, and found the entire process went smoothly and very professional! Zac and his team were very courteous and did more than we expected, and the quality of work was top notch! They have just completed some warranty work that we didn’t even realized needed done. We recently worked with Sutcliffe Homes for a major home renovation that started with a complete gut of our first floor, new stairs, loft half-wall, floors and trims throughout the entire house and finished with a beautiful, functional, reconfigured space. We worked with Lynsey as our Project Coordinator and Jesse as our Site Coordinate. Both provided expert advice on layout and design from start to end of our project. When we needed to go directly to suppliers to make decisions, Lynsey accompanied us and provided fantastic design and product expertise. We felt that Lynsey really understood our style and our wishes for functionality along with a modern, beautiful look in our 23 year old home. Both Lynsey and Jesse displayed great creativity and on-the-spot problem solving to help us achieve our design goals for our home. While there were a few bumps along the process (as will happen with any major renovation), Lynsey, Jesse and Sutcliffe Homes were quick to resolve issues and work with the trades and suppliers to make things right. Sutcliffe Homes is clearly focussed on customer service and customer satisfaction, and show pride in a job well-done. Sutcliffe staff were very respectful of our time and our space and our project was completed in the timelines set out in our contract. We made a few changes and additions to our project after our initial contract was signed, and Sutcliffe were able to pivot easily and gracefully to accommodate our requests.
