We had an excellent experience with Watermark Plumbing. They were very responsive to our questions leading into the plumbing appointment and Jeremy did a great job replacing our sump pump. He was on time, professional and knowledgeable. We would definitely use their services again and would certainly recommend to others.

We bought our first home and needed a plumber for the first time. Everyone we connected with was amazing. They provided so much information and answered questions I hadn't even thought to ask. They really respected that we might need to prioritize certain repairs and needed information to establish our budget. Initially I was a bit daunted by the price of proper tradespeople (in general!) but with Watermark, I felt like the money was well spent. Our technician was excellent, communication was fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to have them work on our home again.

Jeremy Leigh helped us with an auxiliary sump pump/battery backup installation, as well as a tricky toilet install with a broken flange and a very tight fit. He was a pleasure to work with, and we are very pleased with the results! Would definitely recommend to friends & family.

Very satisfactory experience! Stacey at the front desk gave information and answered my questions patiently, and was quick to follow up with the vendors about technology and availability. Bradley installed the pump, also answered my questions enthusiastically and left the area clean but not before sharing some tips on how to check on the system periodically. Definitely recommended!

I am extremely satisfied that, after quotes from other companies, i chose Watermark plumbing. I had a leaking stack pipe in my old home, with water leaking from the upstairs bathroom and main floor kitchen. Jeremy did excellent work cutting out and replacing the stack pipe. He was patient with me and answered all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Watermark Plumbing for their honesty and reasonable pricing. Thanks! Here are 2 photos of before replacement of stack pipe and after. And thanks to Sarah and Stacey…both kept me informed of scheduling, arrival etc
Before you hire a plumber in Ontario
Yes. Plumber (306A) is a compulsory trade in Ontario - working without certification is illegal, not just inadvisable.
Certificate of Qualification, 306A Plumber
The individual doing the work must hold this, or be a registered apprentice working under someone who does. Ask for the certificate number and the name it is issued to. It belongs to a person, not a company.
Verify with: Skilled Trades Ontario maintains the public register of certified tradespeople.

Two million dollars is the common floor for residential work. Water damage escalates fast, and a burst supply line during a renovation can exceed a small policy in an afternoon.
WSIB clearance
If a worker is injured on your property and the contractor has no coverage, you can be drawn into the claim. A clearance certificate is free for the contractor to pull and takes minutes.
Verify with: WSIB issues clearance certificates directly to the contractor on request.

G1, G2 or G3 depending on scope. Required for anything connecting to a natural gas or propane line.
Verify with: The Technical Standards and Safety Authority regulates fuel safety in Ontario.
Check Watermark Plumbing and Drains on the official registerQuestions worth asking
- Is the person doing the work certified in 306A, or an apprentice being supervised? Both are fine. You just want to know.
- Is this quote flat rate or time and materials? If hourly, what is the estimated range and what happens if it runs over?
- Does the job touch a gas line, and if so who holds the TSSA certificate?
- Does this need a municipal plumbing permit, and are you pulling it?
- What is the warranty on labour, separately from the manufacturer warranty on parts?
