Had an incredible experience with Grant! Super knowledgeable, helpful and transparent! He resolved our issue and set us up for future prevention of having a similar issue. 13/10 would recommend!

I had a clogged toilet at my rental property, and because I have tenants, there was a strict time limitation — the plumber had to arrive after 3:30 PM. Grant showed up exactly on time, which I really appreciated. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem efficiently and professionally. The pricing was very fair, and the whole experience was smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Grant and his company to anyone looking for reliable and honest plumbing services!

The service was great and the price was fair. I'll definitely use them again and recommend them to others. Before London Plumbing, a different plumbing company quoted me four times the price. Grant fixed the problem quickly and did a fantastic job for a quarter of the price.

I called London Plumbing for a leaky shower faucet and thought it would be a quick cartridge replacement. Grant was able to come the same day, which was fantastic. Of course, with an older house, it turned out to be more complicated—the unit was corroded and needed replacing. Grant took care of everything, picked up a new valve and trim kit, and got straight to work. Grant did an amazing job. Great guy, great workmanship, and very professional. I highly recommend London Plumbing—100%! Thank you Grant

Grant at London Plumbing came highly recommended by my neighbour and was quick to respond, worked cleanly, and was both professional and service-oriented. Grant removed our old dishwasher, upgraded the plumbing with a new shut-off valve and longer flex hose for easier future servicing, and corrected some questionable work from a previous installer. I’m very happy with the service and would gladly recommend this company.

Before you hire a plumber in Ontario

Yes. Plumber (306A) is a compulsory trade in Ontario - working without certification is illegal, not just inadvisable.

Certificate of Qualification, 306A Plumber

The individual doing the work must hold this, or be a registered apprentice working under someone who does. Ask for the certificate number and the name it is issued to. It belongs to a person, not a company.

Verify with: Skilled Trades Ontario maintains the public register of certified tradespeople.

General liability insurance

Two million dollars is the common floor for residential work. Water damage escalates fast, and a burst supply line during a renovation can exceed a small policy in an afternoon.

WSIB clearance

If a worker is injured on your property and the contractor has no coverage, you can be drawn into the claim. A clearance certificate is free for the contractor to pull and takes minutes.

Verify with: WSIB issues clearance certificates directly to the contractor on request.

TSSA gas technician certificate (only if gas is involved)

G1, G2 or G3 depending on scope. Required for anything connecting to a natural gas or propane line.

Verify with: The Technical Standards and Safety Authority regulates fuel safety in Ontario.

Questions worth asking

  • Is the person doing the work certified in 306A, or an apprentice being supervised? Both are fine. You just want to know.
  • Is this quote flat rate or time and materials? If hourly, what is the estimated range and what happens if it runs over?
  • Does the job touch a gas line, and if so who holds the TSSA certificate?
  • Does this need a municipal plumbing permit, and are you pulling it?
  • What is the warranty on labour, separately from the manufacturer warranty on parts?
