It's with great confidence that I recommend Right Choice Roofing. I contacted Frank after reading the excellent reviews posted by other customers. I was worried about heavy snow accumulation and ice build up on my roof. Frank communicated with me immediately with a quote and a timeline for removal. He did a thorough job and kept me informed of his progress. He took before and after pics which were very helpful to me. He was great to work with. Frank and his crew were extremely professional and reliable. They installed a new garage roof with shingles at my home and were efficient and clean. They did a beautiful job and were very friendly while on site. I highly recommend Frank and Right Choice Roofing for your next project. The communication was wonderful, the quote was very reasonable, and Frank was flexible in meeting our needs. Frank even sent us many before and after pictures of the garage roof, so we could fully see his work. We are very pleased!

The service we received from Right Choice Roofing was beyond exceptional. Frank and his team arrived on time and completed the job in one day as promised including a very thorough clean up. They did excellent work in very hot and sunny weather conditions. The quality of the work was excellent and Frank also made some recommendations of which would save us money in the future. Before you hire a roofer in Ontario

No. Roofing is not a compulsory trade in Ontario, so there is no licence to verify - which makes insurance and WSIB coverage the checks that matter.

WSIB clearance certificate

The most important document in this trade. Ask for a current certificate and confirm it names the company doing your work, not a subcontractor you have never met. It should be dated within the last 90 days.

Verify with: WSIB clearance certificates can be validated online by the account number.

Check Right Choice Roofing and Repair on the official register

General liability insurance

Two million dollars minimum for residential roofing. Request the certificate of insurance directly from the broker rather than a photocopy, and confirm the policy is current.

Manufacturer shingle certification

Optional but meaningful. Manufacturers certify installers, and certification is what unlocks the extended system warranty. Without it you have a material warranty only, which covers far less than most homeowners assume.

Municipal business licence

Some Ontario municipalities require one. Not universal, but easy to ask about.

Questions worth asking

Can I see a current WSIB clearance certificate and your liability certificate of insurance?
Is this a full tear-off, or shingling over the existing layer? (Overlays are cheaper and shorten roof life.)
How much ice and water shield is included, and how far up from the eave?
Are you certified by the shingle manufacturer, and does this quote include the system warranty or only the material warranty?
What happens if you find rotten decking? What is the per-sheet price, and will you show me before replacing it?
