I had a sump pump freezing and air locking issue at 01:00 on Sunday morning. After I did a quick fix, I messaged them on their online booking tool and they responded early Sunday morning with a phone call to do an initial assessment of the urgency. We then set up a Monday morning service call. Very prompt and pleasurable communication throughout the process. Steve arrived and performed the initial cost quote up front so there were no surprises. The required work was then completed quickly and efficiently. Very happy with this service overall.

The plumber had an excellent attitude. My English isn’t very good, but he patiently explained everything to me. After clearing the pipe, he checked it several times to make sure everything was working properly. I’m very grateful for his service and highly recommend him!

Thomas was very professional, courteous and friendly. Gave me estimate beforehand, completed the work within the hour and sent me picture. Very satisfied with work. Price was more than I was expecting but it was done on a Sunday and included a new Moen faucet. It is what it is.

The team did a great job! They were here on time when they said they would be, and were friendly and courteous throughout the process. They spent a good 4.5 hours fixing my situation and they did not leave until the job was done. The fee quoted at the beginning was the same at the completion, despite it taking so long to fix, and at the end of the day, it was well worth the money for the professionalism and good work they provided. Keep it up folks!

I needed a plumber for my clogged kitchen sink for my 20 + years old house. My associate refers me to contact this company. The plumber I had ,Michael Kang did amazing job for me. He explained in detail, go up and downstairs to find the best route to figure it out. The finishing after his work was clean and neat. Not allowed even a dropplet. The drain works very well. He is the best of the best experienced plumber ever. Thank you Mr. Kang

Before you hire a plumber in Ontario

Yes. Plumber (306A) is a compulsory trade in Ontario - working without certification is illegal, not just inadvisable.

Certificate of Qualification, 306A Plumber

The individual doing the work must hold this, or be a registered apprentice working under someone who does. Ask for the certificate number and the name it is issued to. It belongs to a person, not a company.

Verify with: Skilled Trades Ontario maintains the public register of certified tradespeople.

General liability insurance

Two million dollars is the common floor for residential work. Water damage escalates fast, and a burst supply line during a renovation can exceed a small policy in an afternoon.

WSIB clearance

If a worker is injured on your property and the contractor has no coverage, you can be drawn into the claim. A clearance certificate is free for the contractor to pull and takes minutes.

Verify with: WSIB issues clearance certificates directly to the contractor on request.

TSSA gas technician certificate (only if gas is involved)

G1, G2 or G3 depending on scope. Required for anything connecting to a natural gas or propane line.

Verify with: The Technical Standards and Safety Authority regulates fuel safety in Ontario.

Questions worth asking

  • Is the person doing the work certified in 306A, or an apprentice being supervised? Both are fine. You just want to know.
  • Is this quote flat rate or time and materials? If hourly, what is the estimated range and what happens if it runs over?
  • Does the job touch a gas line, and if so who holds the TSSA certificate?
  • Does this need a municipal plumbing permit, and are you pulling it?
  • What is the warranty on labour, separately from the manufacturer warranty on parts?
