I’ve been a hot tub owner for close to 40 years, so I’ve dealt with plenty of stores over the years—and this one really stands out. Every time I reach out, whether it’s a quick question or something that needs fixing, they get back to me fast and are always ready to help. They know their stuff inside and out. Whether it the advice I got from Peter from time to time in the store, or the service calls from Robbie, their service is spot on, and you can tell they’re confident in what they sell and support. What I appreciate the most is how willing they are to give free advice anytime—no pressure, no pushing for a sale, just genuinely helpful people who care about keeping your hot tub running right. If you want a place that’s knowledgeable, quick to respond, and easy to work with, this is the one.

So, when I say my hot tub wasn’t working, I’m not kidding around. The lights came on, some bubbles bubbled, but it just wouldn’t heat! It stayed stuck in one error code loop. Constantly. I reached out to find help & met a world of incompetence and overpriced bad attitudes as far as I could see. One place said I’d need to spend hundreds of dollars before they’d even hear out my problem! It was looking bleak. Finally, a repair guy I connected with came by & though he did his best, after all his attempts he only had guesses as to what the problem could be. Giving up, he had but one last suggestion. Robbie from Lakeshore Pools & Hot Tubs. Apparently he was the best in the business. Could turn an old couch into a functioning hot tub if he felt like it. His reputation seemed almost mythical to be honest but with the winter weather looming, this literally became my last hope. After leaving a voicemail, I heard back from Robbie in less than 24 hours. He was friendly, professional, sharp & somehow seemed to be already diagnosing the issue just by my vague rambling description of the problem. Luckily, he was also willing to travel across the city to my neck of the woods in the upper beaches which was no short trip. After arriving, he knew what the problem was in probably just shy of 5 minutes. & after some major hot tub surgery (rebuilding pipes & replacing some major components to give you an idea) had fixed the issue an hour later! He had all the gear he could need for pretty much any situation. Very well prepared. Even though the snow & rain were falling, he took care of us in no time flat. It was quite impressive. My point is, save your time. Save yourself from headaches, price gouging, condescending technicians & inexperienced ones. If you need your hot tub fixed right by a professional there’s only one place to go. Lakeshore Pools & Hot Tubs. Robbie can fix it. You’re welcome!

Excellent company to do business with. They are not looking to make a quick one time buck but rather to provide great service and foster a long term service relationship. Jared took care of the scheduling and quotation and Robbie came out and professionally executed the installation of the parts. He also made a recommendation that saved me approx. most $260. Will definitely call them again should anything happen to my hot tub.

I just want to express how amazing the service team has been. Today Robbie came out to do an (almost emergency) level empty and clean mid winter service. He was friendly, professional and efficient and helped me to understand my model and the cleaning protocol better. Also to take it one step further, I received a detailed follow up with fresh start-up chemical protocol for the newly cleaned tub and fresh water state from Jared. As a new hot tub owner this level of care and service is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. I will always place my trust and confidence in this team. Highly recommend !
Before you hire a hot tub installer in Ontario
Hot tub sales and placement are unregulated, but the electrical connection is not. It requires a licensed electrical contractor and an ESA inspection.
Licensed electrical contractor with an ECRA/ESA number
A hot tub needs a dedicated GFCI-protected 240V circuit and, in most cases, a disconnect within sight of the tub. This is not work for a handyman.
Verify with: The Electrical Safety Authority, esasafe.com.
Check Lakeshore Pools and Hot Tubs on the official registerESA notification and Certificate of Acceptance
Filed by the electrical contractor and inspected. Keep the certificate - insurers and buyers ask for it.
Adequate base or engineered deck support
A filled hot tub with occupants is a serious point load. Placing one on an ordinary residential deck without verifying capacity is a real structural risk, and decks have failed under them.
General liability insurance for delivery and placement
Crane placement over a house is a moment where insurance stops being theoretical.
Questions worth asking
- What is the filled weight, and is my intended base or deck rated for it?
- Which licensed electrical contractor will do the connection, and is the ESA notification included?
- Will I get the Certificate of Acceptance when it passes inspection?
- Can the tub physically reach the location, or is a crane required - and is that in the price?
- What is the insulation construction, and what is the realistic monthly running cost in winter?
