Derrick came out to help with a few plumbing issues in my kitchen, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Communication was excellent from start to finish. He was friendly, professional, and made everything look easy. The work was done quickly and without any issues. Highly recommend!

We called Trade Tech and received quick, outstanding service to our Rinnai hot water on demand system. Devon and Bryson were the tech's and explained what had to be done. They were polite, courteous and when their work was done everything was as clean and tidy as it was when they arrived !

Trade Tech Plumbing provided exceptional service and expertise. Late in 2025, for an historically old residential home, I required replacement of a failed shut-off valve on my 50+ year-old galvanized water service line (pre-meter), installation of a new shut-off valve post-meter, and minor associated piping work. Within five hours of my initial email inquiry, Trade Tech responded, scheduled an on-site inspection, thoroughly assessed the system, and provided a clear, fair written quote. The work was completed just two days later with five-star results. Several other companies submitted quotes based solely on photographs and warned—quite reasonably—of the high risk that aged galvanized piping could fracture, leading to substantial additional expense. After performing an in-person evaluation, Trade Tech assured me the piping was sound, and the repair could proceed without collateral damage. They were correct: the job was flawless, with no complications or extra costs. And they coordinated their efforts with my municipality for external water shut off. Trade Tech was professional, responsive, honest, and skilled throughout. The work was performed to a high standard. For those reasons, I recommend Trade Tech Plumbing without reservation!

Highly recommend these guys for any HVAC or plumbing needs. Our A/C broke down in 35 degree weather and they got here quickly and had the problem solved. Thanks to Devon there tech guy. We will be using them in the future. Thanks

Called Trade Tech for plumbing service to come unclog sewer drain, toilet backing up. Tony had techs out later that day. Harrison and Ryder started with putting plastic down to avoid mess on floor, then ran equipment to unplug drain. They informed me of what they were doing. They ran the Camara and informed me of every move they made. Great customer service. They came back 2 weeks later to view the sewer pipe to make sure clog was gone. Very professional in my opinion. Honestly, great service especially since the first plumber that tried to clear drain (only lasted 6 days) and left a huge, nasty mess for a senior to clean up. I would definitely recommend Trade Tech anytime.
Before you hire a plumber in Ontario
Yes. Plumber (306A) is a compulsory trade in Ontario - working without certification is illegal, not just inadvisable.
Certificate of Qualification, 306A Plumber
The individual doing the work must hold this, or be a registered apprentice working under someone who does. Ask for the certificate number and the name it is issued to. It belongs to a person, not a company.
Verify with: Skilled Trades Ontario maintains the public register of certified tradespeople.

Two million dollars is the common floor for residential work. Water damage escalates fast, and a burst supply line during a renovation can exceed a small policy in an afternoon.
WSIB clearance
If a worker is injured on your property and the contractor has no coverage, you can be drawn into the claim. A clearance certificate is free for the contractor to pull and takes minutes.
Verify with: WSIB issues clearance certificates directly to the contractor on request.

G1, G2 or G3 depending on scope. Required for anything connecting to a natural gas or propane line.

- Is the person doing the work certified in 306A, or an apprentice being supervised? Both are fine. You just want to know.
- Is this quote flat rate or time and materials? If hourly, what is the estimated range and what happens if it runs over?
- Does the job touch a gas line, and if so who holds the TSSA certificate?
- Does this need a municipal plumbing permit, and are you pulling it?
- What is the warranty on labour, separately from the manufacturer warranty on parts?
